Gaited Baroque Foal for Sale

1/4 Friesian 3/4 Morgan
Gaited foal

SOLD!

Edgar Allen Poe is very Baroque and very Friesian! He was foaled on September 15, 2005. Edgar has gait from both his sire and dam and is 2nd generation Gaited Baroque Horse. He's been videotaped doing a stepping pace, rack, and foxtrot. He also has an incredible extended trot and will be extremely talented at dressage with his amazing movement. He could easily to be taught to do six or seven gaits under saddle (including the trot), like his baroque Morgan grand-dam Brandy. He is currently reg'd with the Gaited Baroque Horse Association and the Friesian Blood Horse Registry. His gaited Morgan dam Mystery is also for sale for $1250 (SOLD). Please email shanky@ix.netcom.com or go to http://telltailfarm.com for more info and pics.

Gaited Baroque Horse for Sale

Friesian X Peruvian Paso

$3500

Sonadora is a 2002 gorgeous red bay mare with the exotic beauty of a Peruvian and the great substance of a Friesian. Many people believe that the origins of the Peruvian Paso can be traced back directly to the Friesian. Both breeds have a heavy Andalusian influence. Sonya's baroque build and eye-catching movement are a match made in heaven. She inherited some of her Peruvian dam's termino as well as her Frieisan sire's (and dam's) high knee action. Sonya gaited as a baby and has the strong gait of her Peruvian lines and is currently reg'd as a Gaited Baroque Horse. She is greenbroke and is doing great under saddle. During training, her Paso Fino trainers told me that she is still gaited, although her gait has not been set yet. They also said that she is very sensitive and responsive. She has the Friesian build with a little bit of the hotness of the Paso. Sonya can be a little nervous with new people but once she warms up to them, she is very friendly. She will do almost anything (see above) with an experienced, confident rider who will not get nervous if she gets nervous. I am only selling her because I am taking a break from breeding. She is about 14.2h or 14.3h, heavy in build at around 1100 lbs. with good-sized, excellent hooves to match. She could carry a good-sized man easily. In Utero Foal for Sale

SSH X Friesian

SOLD!

This foal should be a gaiting machine. Dam, Belle, is a naturally gaited, registered B/W SSH. Sire is Avond, a registered Friesian stallion of Craggy Lea Farm, by the deceased stallion, Wicher, World FPS/Champion 1995; and out of Amalia Fan Hylpen stb, Ster mare. Belle is a trail-riding machine. Nothing bothers her and she will mow down saplings or go through water up to her belly. Cars, tractors, motorcycles, dogs, and wildlife - nothing fazes her. Belle's unflappable temperament combined with Avond's beauty, size, large strong feet, disposition and baroque movement should produce an awesome foal ready for any discipline. Foal will be eligible for the Friesian Sport Horse Registry, and if gaited, the Gaited Baroque Horse Association, and possibly the NSSHA. Please contact Ethna@c21millstone.com for more information.

Mare for Sale

1995 Standardbred

SOLD!

Nina is a multi-gaited mare and is so sweet and friendly. Well-behaved for everything and everyone. Nina now has an advanced case of ringbone due to a pastern-injury sustained when she was harness-raced as a 3-year-old. So she is suitable as a broodmare only. She has had one foal for me, a gorgeous half-Andalusian mare who was recently featured on an episode of Pat Parelli on RFD-TV! Nina would cross great with a Friesian or another baroque breed for a Gaited Baroque foal. She is for sale for $400 due to her chronic lameness. Please email shanky@ix.netcom.com or go to http://telltailfarm.com for more info and pics.

Stallion for Sale

1982 American Mustang

Nevado is a 1982 black/gray and white pinto gaited American Mustang. At this age, he is still completely sound, has clean, well boned legs and wonderful classical Baroque conformation. He is very well-gaited and has thrown all gaited babies from gaited mares. We believe that he will also throw gaited babies from non-gaited mares, but we have yet to do that kind of breeding. He is currently being bred to Peruvian Paso mares to produce get with much stronger legs than their dams while maintaining their outstanding gait. Please see the picture of his young son, Mountain Ridge Benicio, under Nevado's pictures. Nevado has an outstanding temperament and is easy for anyone to ride. In the off season he is the leader of a herd of young stallions, all of whom get along without incident under his leadership. He stands 14.1 and resides in Fountain, Colorado. His stud fee is $500. A.I. may be available soon. Contact Mountain Ridge Ranch at 719-382-6667 or email mtnrdgrnch@aol.com .
